On September
1, 2009 Randy Hutson became the chief executive officer for the American
Red Cross Serving King & Kitsap Counties. Before becoming CEO, he
served four years as the organization’s chief financial officer and three
years as its chief operating officer. During his time at the Red Cross,
Randy has led numerous initiatives that have helped make King, Kitsap and
North Mason counties safer. Most recently he led an internal
reorganization to assist our enhanced efforts in preparing individuals and
families for disasters. Randy was also instrumental in the construction of
community-based disaster relief supply centers, the development of a
nonprofit business continuity program and a free, non-certified First
Aid/CPR training.
Previously,
Randy was a senior manager for Microsoft Corporation, director of finance
at SpaceLabs Healthcare, Inc. and chief financial officer for Zycad
Corporation.
Randy and his
wife Dana live in Sammamish with their dog Scuppers. They also
have two grown daughters and a new grandson.
